An iconic New Zeland soft drink brand called Lemon & Paeroa used a form of interactive outdoor advertising in their summer campaign. Their strategy, which was devised by Saatchi and Saatchi, used a special kind of billboard made from flip flops! People could reach out to the billboard and pop out a pair of yellow flip flops to wear during the warm weather.
The aim of the billboards was to encourage people to 'hold onto summer' and therefore keep them buying their summer-themed soft drink. Lemon and Paeroa also used bright yellow beach towels as posters in this campaign!
