Promotional Products Week 2014: What It's All About and What You Can Gain?

Promotional Products Week 2014: What It's All About and What You Can Gain?

Promotional Products Week (PPW) is less than a month away and we are very excited about all the activities that will come with it. There is a real buzz in the air about this year's event that will take place from 15th to 19th September. If you've never heard of it, it is the promotional industry event organised by the official governing industry body: the BPMA (the British Promotional Merchandise Association). It will bring all the suppliers together to offer even better value to our clients and encourage more awareness of what corporate gifts are and what benefits they can bring.

Many suppliers will be running events, campaigns, etc. but we decided to offer something really special to our clients (and future clients!), so come back to see what we have in store for you on the 15th of September 2014! A little spoiler alert... as a company always determined to provide the best value, UK Corporate Gifts will be running an offer that will blow all others out of the water... and I'll keep quiet for now. To give you a bit more background into what PPW means, I'll say a few things about the BMPA and about last year's event.

Who are the BPMA?

As accredited members of the BPMA we follow a code of conduct that ensures top quality and lead times for our clients

The BPMA is the association that every supplier of promotional merchandise wants to be part of. As accredited members ourselves, we have signed a code of conduct to ensure we follow best practices when it comes to supplying corporate gifts. Our products and branding have to meet quality guidelines and our lead times have to be as promised. In addition to these standard member requirements, we also promise to reprint or refund any order that is not as approved by you. Set up in 1965, the BPMA is built on trust among suppliers and buyers. The organisation advocates best practice in promotional merchandise and encourages awareness about the role of corporate gifts in marketing. They commission important research and run educational programs to spread the knowledge.

What happened last year?

Last year PPW was launched and achieved a total of 8.2 million media impacts. It was a major publicity and advertising affair and we ran offers too, that proved very popular among our clients. A special survey was commissioned to celebrate the week and the results proved how effective corporate gifts are! The results showed how corporate gifts make recipients feel appreciated, motivated and how they invoke loyalty - all considerably more so that the mediums of Print, Direct Mail or TV.

What can I expect in 2014?

This year the event is set to be even bigger and better. You can view progress by following #PPWeek on Twitter and other social media. However, it won't be until the 15th September that you can truly take advantage of all the offers, competitions and activities that will be at hand.
