Promotional Rubik's Cubes Increase Alzheimer's Awareness #CleverPromoGifts
Alzheimer's is a terrible desease that affects many elderly people by robbing them of their memories, dignity, and eventually, their lives. Patients can, however, slow down the progression by keeping their minds active.
In Kenya, awareness of the desease was scarse, so the Alzheimer's Association of Kenya, asked Right Here agency to create a campaign to let people know what to do if they are affected.
Rubik's Cubes have been proven to stimulate patient's minds, so a special "Alzheimer's Rubik's Cube" was created with pictures of patiens on each face of the puzzle.
These customised Rubik's Cubes increased queries at Alzheimer's Association of Kenya from 5 per month to 3 per day and increased the number of volunteers from 10 to 43 within a month.
The campain communicates that the memories of a patient with Alzheimer's, like the unsolved cube, are jumbled up. By calling the association, help and guidance can be offered.
